Have you ever prayed and felt your prayer hasn’t been answered? Why do some prayers seem to go unanswered?
We have read and witnessed that when we pray, truly God is listening, and truly God answers our prayers, regardless of the situation, however sometimes the devil seems to have a foothold or some type of personal agenda against us. Particularly when it comes to praying for release from strongholds or family curses, it is sometimes the case. You pray and pray, and somehow the problem persists.
There is an answer to this. Praying had got me so far but there seemed to be a certain level that required a bit more of something different. I only came to grasp the concept just this year.
The Word of God is part of the Armour of God, and as we know you do not just go to war without preparation and weaponry. The word of God happens to be the SWORD. The means for attack. Not only is it the means for attack, but it is the strongest means of attack because the word of God is God Himself.
We see a great example of Jesus when He was in the desert fasting for 40 day and 40 nights and Satan came to tempt Jesus. All Jesus had to respond with is, ‘ It is written…’ This is Jesus saying in other words, well this is what my daddy says about that. It’s a bit like when you were at school, aged 5 and you were having a back and forth with a classmate and declaring that your daddy could beat the other child’s daddy because your daddy said yesterday he is the strongest person in the world. Except this time, it is actually true, and He is actually the maker of everything, trustworthy, who’s word never fails, neither does He sleep nor slumber, so Victory IS GUARANTEED!! Amen.
So, The WORD OF GOD!
This is what the Word of God says about THE WORD OF GOD ( haha saying that brings me so much joy).
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)
The Lord’s Word is Flawless (Perfect with no faults, as is God Himself).
The Word of God is Alive and Active, Sharper than any double edged sword, and it pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit.
So My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it.
You see God is so good, He will do exactly what He said He will do in His word, as long as your prayer is according to His will. On top of all this, God’s word says God is not a man, that He should lie, or a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?
So my friend, brother and sister in Christ, when you pray, the one thing the Devil can never challenge is God’s word concerning your problem. It is through the word of God that the earth and all in it was formed, and it is also through the Word that our lives can be fulfilled in whatever circumstance and need.
So how do we use the Word in Prayer?
The basic principle is tell Satan, tell the demons, principalities and rulers in the high places what is written. Tell that sickness and tell that situation.
An example : This is how you would use God’s word concerning Sickness
Step 1: Find God’s word
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4 : 20-22
Job 22: 28 You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you;
Then Jesus called the Twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and power to cure diseases. Luke 9: 1
But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
Step 2: Apply the word.
Pray as you would normally (praising God, asking for forgiveness, putting on the armour of God) and apply the word to your problem: It is written I will declare a thing and it will be established therefore I declare that I am healed through the power of Jesus, who was crushed for our iniquities and I declare that by His stripes I am healed. I was given power to drive out demons and power to cure disease. I drive out all demons of sickness and declare healing to my body in the name of Jesus. His grace is sufficient. Thank you Lord for answering my prayer….
Step 3:
Your faith in the power of Jesus, and believing your prayer is answered is the only thing you have to do henceforth. ‘If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask in prayer.”
