Prayer: One way of getting closer to God.
Have you ever had a situation where you have been right at the end of the road? At the edge of a cliff, not knowing whether to jump or go back to the dark and dreary road. An example of mine is when I had become aware that I was in a bad relationship at about 18 years old. I mean bad as in violent and abusive. Now the good thing is that I was aware, the bad part is I wanted a way out and no matter how much I had tried to leave, and set myself free, I was stuck. At that time it seemed my only options were to stay or commit suicide.

Only when I prayed to God, and asked to be set free, was I actually set free. Jesus came to set the captives free and is ready to set us free of every burden, if we humble ourselves, pray, and ask. Praise God I am here and alive today by His grace. (Side note, pray for your family, pray for your friends, pray for your children, pray against the spirits of depression, suicide, anxiety especially in these last days because you have no idea what some people are going through. God who sees that which is hidden will indeed intercede. I believe my family and friends’ prayers played a big part) )

I have many testimonies of answered prayers in my life and soon I will be sharing some of these testimonies with you. Prayer has been the solution to all my problems in life so far. God has been faithful from even before beginning of time, and God wants us to pray to Him all the time, at any given opportunity, with all sorts of requests.

The word of God says:
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:12
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours: Mark 11:24
